Indira Everyday Oil for Face & Body
Indira ~ feminine name of Sanskrit origin with roots in Hindi. Indira translates to “splendid” and is a byname of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi ~ the goddess of prosperity, beauty, and luck.
A lightweight multi-functional oil blend suitable for all skin types. Our Indira everyday oil can be used on your face and body as a moisturiser, cleanser or base for body and Gua Sha massage. An easily absorbed blend of organic cold-pressed hemp seed, organic avocado, organic apricot kernel and organic coconut oil combined with one of the most precious essential oils used for skin care ~ sandalwood.
Organic Avocado Oil (Persea gratissima). Moisturising and nourishing making it the ideal treatment for dehydrated or sun-damaged skin. Also great for relieving dryness and itching. Avocado oil is extremely rich in vitamins A, D, and E, monounsaturated fatty acids, as well as having high lecithin and potassium content. Avocado oil is also very high in sterolins, which are reputed to reduce the presence of age spots, heal sun damage and scarring, as well as moisturising and softening the skin.
Organic Hemp Seed Oil (Cannabis sativa). Hemp oil is a considered to have anti-inflammatory properties, with its essential fatty acids useful in assisting skin conditions. Regular users of hemp oil also report enjoying smoother, thicker, softer hair, and stronger nails.
Organic Apricot Kernal Oil (Prunus armeniaca). Apricot kernel oil is known to have extremely nourishing qualities, and is easily absorbed into the skin. Its excellent moisturising and soothing qualities work well to treat irritated skin. The oil is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as the essential linoleic and oleic fatty acids.
Organic Coconut Oil (Caprylic capric triglycerides). An excellent emollient and rapidly penetrates the skin. Once it has penetrated it slows the loss of water from the skin by forming a barrier on the skin’s surface.
Sandalwood, East India (Santalum album). Helps to balance, soften and soothe dry skin and rejuvenates mature or prematurely ageing skin. It aids regeneration, tones and firms while restoring a smooth clear complexion.
